Nestled on the banks of an idyllic loch, Rosneath Castle Park is a truly stunning setting for caravan holidays in Scotland.

Located near Helensburgh in Argyll on Scotland’s West Coast, our quiet holiday park is the perfect destination for discovering nearby Loch Lomond, the copper-coloured hills of Argyll and the Scottish Highlands.

Rosneath Castle Park is set amid some of the most spectacular countryside in Scotland with Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Dunoon, Oban, and Stirling all easily accessible and after a day conquering the waters, exploring our surroundings or enjoying the local attractions, you’ll find a tasty meal and drinks served up in our bar and restaurant, and live entertainment taking place on many evenings throughout the year.

Rated five-star by the Scottish Tourist Board, our park offers a wide range of caravans for your self-catering break.

Our Gareloch, Lomond and Loch View holiday homes come fully equipped with everything you need for the perfect self-catering holiday. Available with two or three bedrooms, our caravans each boast spacious living with fitted carpets, central heating, double glazing, microwave, fridge, television and bed linen is provided and we also have an accessible caravan available.


We know how hard it can be to keep the kids entertained, that’s why you’ll find an outdoor adventure playground on park where they can let off some steam. The playground is equipped with zip lines, swings and slides where they can burn off some energy! For the little ones there’s also an indoor soft play area where they can have fun with soft shapes, inflatables and the ball pool.

Throughout the peak summer weeks our clubhouse will play host to a variety of live entertainment. From live music to comedy, we have a varied line-up that will have you singing, dancing and laughing into the night. There’s also bingo, karaoke and even free pool on selected nights! The youngsters in your party will love the Fun Zone! Available 7 days a week during the school holidays and weekends throughout the season, the Fun Zone offers a wide range of supervised activities for children. These include: arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, woodland walks, beach walks, beach cleans, kids’ bingo, BBQs and rock pooling. Please note that children must be supervised by an adult and remain the responsibility of parents / guardians at all times. Activities and facilities will vary depending on the time of year.

Gareloch 2 bed caravan

One double bedroom and one twin bedded room, bathroom with shower, separate dining area. Each home boasts spacious living with fitted carpets, central heating, double glazing, microwave, fridge and television. Bedlinen is provided.

Lomond caravans


With 3 bedrooms and a pull, out sofa bed in the lounge these caravans are perfect for larger families with sleeping for up to 8 people
They come with double glazing and central heating making them a great choice for year-round holidays and boast a fully fitted, modern kitchen complete with just about everything you need for a perfect getaway in Scotland

Just like the other grades of caravan, the Lomond caravan has received the Visit Scotland thistle award which is a guarantee of quality that means you can relax in the knowledge that that you are booking a high standard of accommodation

Loch View caravans

Available as a 2 or 3 option our Loch View holiday homes are versatile, spacious and modern. They also benefit from a view of the Gareloch.

Popular with families, these holiday homes come fully equipped with just about everything you need for a relaxing, self-careering break in this stunning part of the world.

Our Loch view caravans sleep between 6 and 8 people and have 1 double bedroom and either one or two twin bedrooms as well as a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge.

Things you may need to know.

We understand that some families may require additional safety and security features. Here you will find some helpful information about the security features of Rosneath Castle Park

  • Caravans are unable to restrict windows due to fire regualtions
  • Doors are lockable from the outside and opens from inside using a thumb turn lock
  • The park is on the banks of the Gareloch
  • The caravans are not part of our Sensory Caravan range, however a Spectrum Pack of sensory toys and resources is available for families to use during their stay.
  • The caravans at Rosneath castle do not have WiFi. We can supply a pay as you go WiFi Hotspot upon request (this must be requested at least 10 days before arrival) WiFi is available in the restaurant area

    Park Passes

    Rosneath Castle Park have recently introduced Park Passes which are required to access the Funzone which opens for holiday makers at weekends and school holidays and passes can be purchased from the Funzone, or in the shop when you arrive on park. Starting in April 2023 the soft play area “Rosneys” will also be chargeable. Please see the costs below.     Local Amenities and places to visit

    PS Waverley – Experience the world’s last sea going paddle steamer! Magnificently restored with towering funnels, timber decks, gleaming varnish and brass, come and see and hear the mighty engines of the PS Waverley. This grand boat leaves Kilcreggan at 11.55am every Friday in July and August. 5 min drive from park

    Loch Lomond Leisure – Experience Loch Lomond up close by Speedboat, Boat Hire, Water sports and Outdoor Activities. BWSW qualified staff, Water-skiing, Kayaking, Wakeboarding, Wake surf, Guided Canoe Tours, Pedal Boats, Speedboat Tours, Banana Boats, Ringo Rides, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Bike Hire and much more. 30 min drive from park

    Loch Lomond Shores – Loch Lomond Shores is an outstanding visitor destination, offering a wide range of indoor, outdoor and water based activities alongside great shopping, eating and events for all the family. It’s home to beautiful shops, restaurants, the Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Aquarium, water activities, nature walks and events all year round. 32 min drive from park.


    Blair Drummond Safari & Adventure Park – There over 350 rare and exotic animals at Blair Drummond Safari Park. You can drive your own car through the animal reserves and get up close to zebras, camels, rhinos, deer, antelopes and a pride of lions. Keep an eye out for the troop of monkeys in the Safari Park’s famous Macaque Drive-Thru. 1 hr 15 min drive from park

    Loch Lomond – Just a short distance from Rosneath Castle is Loch Lomond. Covering some 71 square kilometres, the loch sits in the heart of the Trossachs National Park. You won’t find a much bigger or more beautiful loch (or lake) in the UK. Here you can take a cruise on the water, enjoy a picnic by the water’s edge, take a stroll through the woodlands or challenge yourself with a climb up Ben Lomond. You can even visit one of the Loch’s 30 islands – some of which are home to a colony of wallabies! 30 min drive from park

    Helensburgh Beach – Opposite Rosneath is the town of Helensburgh, which boasts its own sand and shingle beach. Here you can enjoy a paddle or relax in the summer sun. You’re also close to the many cafes, restaurants and bars in this busy little town! 23 min drive from park

    We understand that preparing an autistic person for a holiday can be challenging. At spectrum holidays we are always looking for ways to make this process easier for our families. We have visited each of the holiday homes personally and have put together a social story for each one. Just let us know how we can best support you in your holiday preparation and we will create personalised visual countdown calendar or timetable for you!

    Inside the holiday homes you will find a set of visuals to help support you while on holiday, there is also a “now, next, later” travel keyring to take out and about with you as well as some information about the local area.

    We work closely with all of our holiday home owners so there will always be someone available to help should you have any problems during your holiday. Please contact Spectrum Holidays in the first instance with any queries or issues and if applicable we will contact the holiday home owner on your behalf. We can also provide information on the surrounding area, local amenities or visitor attractions

    A depost of ÂŁ100 is required to secure your chosen date and full payment is due 8 weeks before arrival.
