Booking Terms and Conditions
Sunflower Holiday Cottage – Terms and Conditions.
Thank you for choosing to book Sunflower Holiday Cottage. We hope that you will have an enjoyable stay with us. By making this booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please carefully read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Covid-19
Following Covid safety guidelines we apologise if the cottage appears bare and basic but this is to facilitate cleaning and infection control. We have removed all:
Games, Books, DVD's, Cushions, Throws, Leaflets, etc.
The beds will be made up as usual and towels will be provided too. Please strip your beds on departure day and pop the laundry in the grey laundry bin provided.
Occupancy
The cottage is available for 4 persons unless otherwise agreed prior to your booking. The holiday property is for the sole use of the persons listed on the booking form. The hirer will be responsible for the entire party. Anyone reported to over occupy the property will be asked to leave with immediate effect.
Children
We welcome children of all ages.
Pets
A maximum of 3 dogs is permitted. There is an additional charge of £20 per dog per long stay or £10 per dog per short stay.
Tariff
The price of the accommodation includes electricity, linen, towels, hot water and central heating.
Deposit
In order to secure your holiday, we ask all guests to provide a £100.
Payment
The balance of the rental is due 6 weeks before the commencement of the holiday. No further invoice will be sent to you and you must make this payment in good time. Failure to make this payment on time may result in cancellation of the holiday and forfeit of your deposit.
Your responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the guests to report any damage to the property or its contents. Failure to do so could result in extra charges.
You are responsible for the behaviour and safety of yourself and the members of your party.
Children should be supervised at all times
Spectrum packs/Sensory equipment
We provide all our properties with a “Spectrum pack” of sensory toys and equipment for use by our guests. While we understand that accidents do happen, we ask that you inform us straight away if anything gets broken so we can organise a replacement in time for the next guests checking in. If any of the equipment is found to be maliciously damaged or stolen we may seek reimbursement.
A full list of equipment can be found inside the sensory packs within each property and a full inventory will be taken before your arrival and after your departure.
Accident reporting
In the event of any accident that occurs in the property and that results in injury to any guest you must contact Spectrum Holidays immediately and we will complete an accident report form.
Payment Plans
We are happy to offer interest free payment plans to those who have booked a qualifying property, Payments will be made on a monthly basis by direct debit and your full payment schedule will be given to you. The full balance of your holiday must be paid 6 weeks before the arrival date.
Missed payments
We understand that sometimes things don’t always go to plan. If for any reason you are not able to make the payment that has been agreed please contact us immediately and we will try our best to find a solution and make alternative arrangements. Missing a payment may result in the holiday being cancelled with immediate effect and any monies paid will be retained.
Keys
Lead guests will be advised in their booking confirmation of the checking in process for their chosen accommodation. This will also tell you where to get your keys and where they should be returned when you check out.
Lost keys will be charged for at £10 per set.
Occupancy
The holiday property is for the sole use of the persons listed on the booking form. The Hirer will be responsible for the entire party. Anyone reported to over occupy the property will be asked to leave immediately and will not be given a refund.
No Smoking Policy
For reasons of hygiene and the comfort of other guests, there is NO SMOKING or electronic cigarettes/vaping allowed anywhere in the cottage. If anyone is reported to be smoking during your stay you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
Cleanliness
We pride ourselves on the high standards of cleanliness that we maintain in our cottage and request that guests leave it clean and tidy. We ask that any cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils that are used are cleaned and returned to where they are kept. This ensures the following guests have the same enjoyable experience as yourselves.
Behaviour
If, in the opinion of the owner any member of the party is guilty of conduct which is deemed to be anti-social or a risk to the health and safety of themselves or members of the public. The owner may retake possession of the accommodation immediately without compensation to the hirer.
BBQ’s
If you bring a BBQ we ask that you remain with the BBQ at all times when in use and children should not be allowed to use the BBQ. Care must be taken when children are playing around the BBQ and BBQ area.
Liability
We DO NOT accept liability for injury, loss or damage suffered by any member of the party.
Cancellation Policy
If your reservation is cancelled over 6 weeks prior to your expected arrival this would incur a loss of your booking deposit.
If your reservation is cancelled up to 3 weeks before the arrival date a cancellation fee of 50% of the full holiday cost will be charged.
If cancelled less than 3 weeks before the arrival date, the FULL cost of the holiday will be charged.
If we need to cancel your booking
If in exceptional circumstances we need to cancel your booking, we will endeavour to advise you of any alternative dates or offer you a full refund.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover accidents, losses, cancellation etc. These policies are available quite cheaply from most insurance providers.
